It was easy to see that Arlo's graduation was done by the Arts Department. They were late for the start, and things were very informal and they celebrated. Arlo had some of his work displayed in the Harris Fine Arts Center before graduation.
We arrived in Provo to have a dinner with Arlo the night before graduation. It was provided by his college. Julie, Clint, and Leslie came with us and we met Arlo on campus. We were informed that before dinner they would have a little slide show presentation in the Maeser Building.
We hiked across half of campus to the Maeser Building and had to search for the place where the presentation was to be done. We went into the lecture hall that had two floors. We sat in the upper deck. We sat there waiting for the festivities to begin. We waited. We were told that the people with the presentation were on their way. We waited. They gave the speeches first.
Finally the presentation arrived. They had to fiddle with the audio-visual equipment to get it going. And viola, the presentation started about an hour late. Some of it was interesting. Some of it was only understood by the insiders.
After the presentation we headed back over the HFAC for dinner. The Indian Cuisine was pretty good.
The next day we headed back down to Provo for the graduation ceremony. Arlo had some of his work that shown in the graduation presentations. It was nice to see his work. I have always liked Arlo's artwork.

Arlo's Graduation
The trip
Jeanette and I traveled to Salt Lake City so we could witness the graduation ceremonies of Craig and Arlo. The travel there was fairly uneventful. We flew from Waco to DFW and then on northwest to Salt Lake. On the way we could look out the windows and recognize landmarks along the way. This is a shot of the Spanish Peaks between Trinidad and Alamosa.
And this is a picture of Mount Blanca.
And the Great Sand Dunes National Monument.
And the Colorado River.
And once again.
The ride back was by a more southern route. We did not get pictures, but we could recognize some of the landmarks then too. We saw Sandia Peak and the Rio Grande. Then there was the barren land of New Mexico and then the panhandle. We followed the Red River and went into DFW. The trip to Waco was a bit more bumpy and visibility was low. It is so much easier to travel by plane than car.
Amazing boy
It has been a week since the last post on our BLOG. This is the longest spell we have had for a while where we have not posted something.
I had the opportunity to be with Bradly James Vance. His the most amazing runner I have ever seen. He is 2 years of age. We went to the Marriott Center for Craig's graduation ceremony. We spent most of the afternoon in getting his cap and gown, waiting, and finally have the ceremony. Bradly came a little later with his mother, Brina. She handed Bradly to me and headed outside with Craig to take some pictures. We sat together and played a little. He was good for a while.
When Brad started to fuss about the time Craig was going to graduate I took Brad outside so his mother could concentrate on the graduation ceremony. We went outside. He ran. Anita called my cell phone while we were out and noted that I was panting heavily. Brad was tough to catch. He ran and ran and ran.
He is an amazing runner for 2.
