Kinda Fishy

Several years ago for Family Home Evening we had a lesson on using the bandsaw. We had a repeat of that lesson tonight.

There were several little throwaway items that we made in that session a few years ago. One of them was a fish made from the a slat torn from the crate used to ship the bandsaw.

He was named Wally and passed around covertly to the unsuspecting sibling. Now Wally has some offspring.

Here are his offspring congregating in the kitchen.

We had ice-cream as the final treat. (Eric tried to be covert)

He said, "OH, Man!!", when he realized that he was partially captured by the camera.

Debra played the cover card too.

But she dropped her guard and --- viola'.

And thank you Brandy for the refreshments. I hope those were not meant for the seminary participants.

  1. The muffins were meant for Jeanette's early morning breakfast tomorrow, but I have to admit they are kinda sweet, so even we had them as FHE treat tonight. I got the recipe from the Pioneer Woman's website under the label "breakfast." They might need to be re-labeled "dessert."

    Anyway--good luck tomorrow, Jeanette. Enjoy!

  2. Larry and Jeanette, you are an inspiration to me. Betty and I don't have home evening as often as we should. We are going to try hard to follow your example next Monday and then share it with you on the blog. Keep us honest.

  6. Of course I would believe you. You have never given me a reason not to.

  7. Thanks for sending the fish. We'll remember that it was created as part of a FHE and will work on keeping up with regular FHE activities ourselves. Thanks again.
