Yeah!

Yeah! That's what I have been saying several times a day for a week or so. Why you say? Because Debra received an email informing her that she had been accepted to BYU-I! Yeah! She has now received an official letter so she can back it up even more. Yesterday she also got a letter with news that they have chosen her school track as Winter/Summer with her beginning 4 June 2008. That is four days after she graduates from High School. Yeah!

  1. Debra is to be at school the week before the Vance Family reunion. Idaho is so far away from here. I will miss Debra.

  2. Debra,
I'm so excited for you!! What classes are you going to take? Where are you going to live? Have you looked at the websit yet? There is a complete list of housing there. I suggest that you live off campus. It is way cheaper and more fun. Find a place that has a washer and dryer. Also, maybe invest in a mni-fridge; then you won't have roommates steal you food, yes, it happens. Only bring two sets of dishes. One for you and another if you have a date over. Don't bring really good cookware; roommates will ruin it. Get something at DI.

  3. @Julie,

You should get your degree. I am sure that you could do it through online classes etc. I love you and want you to be successful.

  4. Four days after graduation??? That doesn't sound "yeah" to me.

Congratulations, Debra. It's a great thing to actually attend the college that you WANTED to attend! Yeah for you. We'll miss you, too.

  5. Debra, I'm happy for you. Getting an education seems more important than in the past. I'm impressed with the art work that I have seen in the blog. I love you and want everything good for you. Grandma Gatha

  6. Jeanette is worried that she will once again be outnumbered by males in the home after Debra leaves. She was talking about driving Debra out to school and have me fly out later to go to the family reunion with them.

  7. I'm not yeahing about Debra leaving. I'm just glad she got into the school that she wanted to get in to. And four days after school gets out? Who thought of that? How will I do with out her?

  8. Debra came home tonight from school with a cap and gown for graduation. She was given a gown that was for a 6'0" person. She said it was too long. She had to go back to the school to exchange it for a person 5'4". What's up with that?

  10. I am proud of Debra and the things that she has accomplished. She has been a pleasure (most of the time) to have in our home.

Debra has changed much since we moved here to Hewitt.

  11. Debra, congratulations! I've known you since you were a babe, and now you are going to college!
What classes are you taking? I know you will do well and I am very proud of you.
It's kinda hard on mom though. I can sympathize with her.
Do good and enjoy life too.
You didn't have much of a vacation after graduation.

  12. I guess it is time to let my baby girl go away. Jeanette will be the lone female at home again. It has been many years since that happened.

We need to make plans on how we are going to get this all to happen in time for her to go to school. Then the Arlo and Gatha Vance family reunion is the next weekend.
