Uncle Keith Gone

I'm not exactly sure when this picture was taken, but it was several years ago. On the back row are LaRue, Keith, Doris Faye, and Leon. On the front are Barbara and Gatha.

My children have not had a lot to do with my aunts and uncles because we have been separated by time and distance for a long while. Keith and Leon have lived away all my life. Now I am away. Keith and Erma Bingham lived in Los Alamos, New Mexico when I was young. I remember going to his house in Los Alamos on occasions. There are not definite memories, just impressions. I do remember going to the Los Alamos Laboratories visitor center.

Uncle Keith and his family would visit us in Manassa on occasions, usually around July 24th. Uncle Keith and Aunt Erma came to visit me and my family when we lived in the Denver area several years ago. I am thankful that they came to visit. I suppose that my mother's generation is getting to the age where letting others go is part of living.

I am sorry that Uncle Keith is no longer with us. I was informed that he died this morning at 5 AM. May God bless him and his family.

  1. That picture was taken the day Jean was buried. We live in such a transient time. there was a time when families lived close to each other and everyone knew their cousins and aunts and uncles. That time seems to be past. I have felt a lose for the great grandchildren who live so far away. I also miss knowing my nieces and nephews. I love my family.

  2. I would be interested in knowing more about your family. Since we never really lived close to some of them, and they have all been away for a long time, we have lost track. It would be nice if we had a biography of each of them.

  3. Funny that my granpda and grandma always made room for family. How I will miss my grandfather more than words can express!!! I always tell our kids how sad it is that they do not see their cousins like we did. We gather at grandma and granpas house all summer and some how gradma made room and food for us all. Those are some of my fondest childhood memories. I am so blessed to have been a Bingham, this family truly is one of a kind. Well grandpa how I miss climbing into your lap for a hug and kiss even after I was a mom!!! YOU are missed terribly, but more importantly thank you for leaving us a legacy of love, honor, respect and family to treasure and pass on!!! You were an amazing man! It is nice to add that all of his children, grandchildren, great children and numerous other relatives attended his funeral service. THANKS FOR POSTING THIS PICTURE!!!
