Leslie's Chair

Leslie got this chair from her Grandpa. He made it especially for her. For a while it was too big for her to use but now it is just the right size. Sometimes while I am doing something boring, like doing the dishes or making dinner, Leslie will go to her chair and sit for a few seconds wander and end back up in her chair. Grandpa requested some photos of her in it and here they finally are.

The pigtails are new, I tried them for the first time today and really like them. When do other gils have this much hair? Leslie is only 15 months old.

And here is Julie with her sister Anita. This would make Julie about 2 years old. I am looking for a photo that would match more closely in time to those of Leslie. --Larry

  1. The construction of the chair was a project that you mother and I did together. We designed and secured the materials together. We cut and drilled and sanded together. With the blood, sweat, and tears that went into this, and Bradly's, chair, we hope that it will bring decades of fun and memories for you Leslie.

We love you very much and want to see you grow up to be a great person.

  2. The pigtails are fabulous. And the pictures are the best. How fun that she can use her chair all by herself.

  3. Leslie is adorable. To answer your question about hair, my daughter Emma is 3 1/2 years old and has slightly longer hair than Leslie. Count yourself blessed. I've been waiting a long time for her hair to grow! It was the same with my first daughter, too.

And I love the idea of the chair. What a special gift--way better than something from Toys R Us.

  4. Age is not a good criteria for determination of the quantity of hair one should have. I have not been able to have braids for decades.

  5. Julie, I'm impressed that you were able to put pig tales in her hair. I have seen how she moves when you try to put one pebbles pony tail in. She is the cutest little girl in the whole wide world.

  6. I always thought that pigtails were braids and pony tails were not braids. Am I confused on this point?

  7. I think anything that is pig or pony is a tail and a braid is a braid!

Very wonderful little pictures of a lovely little creature! Thank you for sharing!!!
